Hi,
here's the key code background we're going to be using on the phone. This is where the thugs want Tim to input the key code they want so they can access the files they want. This will be on my phone during the filming of the narrative. It looks all hi-tech so that it looks important and convincing that the thugs really need it, most likely for financial gain or certain information to use as blackmail. This doesn't really need to be specified in the video (as the audience just want to be entertained by the visuals, they can assume financial gain or blackmail if they want). I made this in Adobe Photoshop.

Hi
Here is a rough animatic for our music video. This is how much we have so far (about 30 seconds), but we hope to have the full animatic finished by the end of the week, along with the storyboard. Enjoy!

Hi
Here's the storyboard. It's not completely finished, however the extensive shot list more than illustrates the music video we have in mind.

Buying Our Props - Jack
Hi!
We just bought our props (except for the bucket, which we will get another day). I seriously can't wait to see these in action!
Also, I saw this review for the balaclava masks and thought it was very helpful. Hopefully you might get a chuckle out of this:

We also made a Facebook page for the band (as people would be more interested in this rather than just the music video itself).

Slow motion reference
This is a slow motion tutorial that we found. We believe that we will find this useful in the future.
Green Screen Test
We tested out the green screen with the scatter effect. We just used a stock background from google for now, we will both film on location and via green screen (Heather's part at least) incase we change our minds with using the green screen (whatever works best).
This is our storyboard for the green-screen |

Song choice for Music Video
Hi folks!
As you could already tell, we have already picked the song we would like to use for our music video. The song is Prisoner by Apposition. The reason we picked this song in particular is because Jack is the bassist in this band. This means we are able to use the actual musicians who wrote and recorded this song in the music video, so we can have a more genuine and less forced music video. We are using an edited version of the song (about 20 seconds shorter) as we felt that the original song may be a little too long. The great thing about Jack being the producer and mixing engineer of the song is that if we still decide that the song is a little too long, which in turn may make the music video a little drawn-out, he can always cut it down even more. However, we want to make sure we cut our as little as possible as we feel that the song flows well, therefore we want the music video to flow well with the song.
Here's the song:

Main Concept for Music Video - Jack
Hi there!
So our idea for the music video is essentially that a guy gets captured, is taken prisoner, interrogated, tortured and is being forced to give up a key code of some sort but refuses. He eventually escapes, leaving an ambiguous ending.
Please excuse my slightly dry humour in some parts of this video, I thought that it would make it more enjoyable (unless that is something you hate, in which case I am sorry), but please, humour me. Yes, pun intended.
Music videos which have influenced this idea include:
Periphery - Scarlet
A man is taken prisoner in an enemy ketchup spaceship, escapes and fights the enemy, capturing them in a much larger mustard spaceship, then leaves them to destroy themselves and each other in imprisonment.
Death Remains - Blood Brothers
A man's brother is kidnapped, and it is up to him to save him.
